A high growth Technology firm based in London, was looking for their first COO due to their outstanding expansion.
The COO is required to manage a team of 20 and advise the senior management on business strategy and succession planning. It was import for our client that the candidate was used to working in a start-up environment and fitted their culture and values.
Bentley Lewis went to meet the client at their new offices and took some time to meet the key stakeholders and team members. This enabled the team to get a good idea of the culture and make an informed judgement on potential candidates’ fit with the organisation.
The team started by putting together a list of firms they thought candidates could be found in. Along with Bentley Lewis’s extensive database and network of contacts in the sector, an exceptional list of headhunted, interviewed and motivated candidates was presented to the client.
The client was delighted with the shortlist and had a difficult decision to make between two preferred candidates. The team successfully managed the offer process and secured their first choice candidate despite offers from other firms.
The COO has been a huge success and has just set up and opened their second office.
