In today's market, time is of the essence

When you find a great candidate, make sure you're making the right moves to keep them excited about joining your team.

While the salary and package may be strong, and the offer may have been signed, don’t forget that companies are doing everything in their power to keep great people. A few things to thinks about:

  1. Communicate with the candidate to let them know how excited you are for them to join the team.
  2. Ask if there’s anything you can do to make their onboarding process easier / quicker / more seamless.
  3. Be willing to introduce them to more members of your team prior to their start date, or even invite them into the office for a tour if they haven’t been there yet.

It’s important to keep communication open until (and after) that candidate clocks in on their first day.
