When you look around the office, some people seem to know exactly where they are going and have clear defined goals which makes us feel like we need to be the same. One thing I learnt recently from hearing Frank Bruno speak about his battle with mental health, is that people might seem good but you never know how they are feeling and what they are going through.
With our careers, much like our personal lives, if we don’t invest time in our development nobody will. Make sure you spend as much time feeding your mind as you do the rest of your body. Fulfillment comes when you know you tried your hardest and have given your absolute best.
Don’t stress about what other people are doing, accept where you are, and do small things every day to help improve your knowledge, skills and career. Focus on what you can control and forget the rest.
