Bentley Lewis (“we”, “us”) is a global executive search and talent advisory firm. We take the privacy of candidates, clients and visitors seriously. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and the rights you have over it.
What we collect
When you contact us, register as a candidate, or subscribe to our newsletter, we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, organisation, current role or level, your CV if you share one, and the content of your message.
We also collect limited technical data necessary to operate the website securely, such as anonymised analytics. We do not sell personal data and we do not use third party advertising trackers.
How we use it
We use your data to respond to your enquiry, to assess and propose candidates for executive search mandates, to administer talent advisory engagements, and, where you have subscribed, to send you The Bentley Lewis Brief. Candidate and client information is stored in our recruitment system, Recruit CRM, and handled confidentially.
Legal basis
We process personal data on the basis of legitimate interest (running executive search services you have engaged with), consent (newsletter subscriptions, candidate registrations), and contractual necessity (client engagements). You may withdraw consent at any time.
Retention
We keep candidate records for as long as is useful to represent you for relevant mandates, and review stored data periodically. You can ask us to update or delete your record at any time.
Sharing
Candidate details are only shared with a client with your knowledge, in the course of a search. We use a small number of processors to run our services (hosting, email delivery, our CRM), each bound by data processing agreements. Where data is transferred outside the UK or EEA, appropriate safeguards are in place.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and the right to object to processing or request portability.
