A market leading Fortune 300 healthcare firm asked us to work with them to find a CFO for a global business unit based in Switzerland.

This position was a commercial finance role with responsibility for management accounting, planning and analysis, budgeting, USGAAP reporting and full management of the finance team. The successful candidate was also expected to provide guidance to the commercial managers and act as a business partner to the CEO. Fluency in Swiss German and English was also required.
The team went to meet the client at their offices in Basel, Switzerland. We spent time meeting the key stakeholders and team members. This enabled us to understand the culture of the organisation and take a full and detailed personal profile. This gave us the ability to not only understand the technical requirements, but also make an informed judgement on potential candidates’ fit with the organisation.
The team started by putting together a list of firms they thought candidates could be found in. Along with Bentley Lewis’s extensive database and network of contacts in the sector, an exceptional list of headhunted, interviewed and motivated candidates was presented to the client.
The client was presented with a shortlist of qualified and evaluated candidates to take through the next stage of the process. The team successfully managed the process and an offer was accepted by the clients preferred candidates.
The CFO has made a big impact on the organisation and as well as delivering on the key job requirements, has also helped with a number of new acquisitions.
